CANADA STOCKS-TSX sinks 9 pct on oil, TD warning

TORONTO Nov 20 (Reuters) - Toronto Stock Exchange's main index sank to its lowest level in five years on Thursday as an earnings warning from Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD.TO: Quote) pressured the financials group and the price of crude slid below $50.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 756.04 points, or 8.9 percent, at 7,734.52. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
