Toronto stocks slide on inflation worries, metals

TORONTO, Dec 14 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index ended lower on Friday, capping off a losing week as mining stocks continued to slide, while U.S. inflation data dampened expectations of further interest rate cuts.

The S&P/TSX composite index fell 88.61 points, or 0.64 percent, to unofficially close at 13,658.64. (Reporting by Cameron French; Editing by Peter Galloway)
