Toronto stock index jumps 100 points, energy leads
TORONTO Dec 19 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index rose more than 100 points early on Wednesday as bargain-hunting investors snapped up a mixed bag of recently depressed stocks, and oil prices lifted energy shares.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 103.53 points, or 0.8 percent, at 13,461.60. (Reporting by Jonathan Spicer; Editing by Peter Galloway)
