Toronto stock index rises 100 points, RIM leads

TORONTO, Dec 21 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index jumped more than 100 points on Friday morning, taking a cue from Research In Motion RIM.TO, which was applauded by analysts after it reported expectation-beating profits.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 101.43 points, or 0.8 percent, at 13,508.44.
