Toronto stocks close higher in shortened session

TORONTO Dec 24 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index ended higher on Monday in a half-day of light volume, pulled higher by gains in resource and financial shares.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 77.55 points, or 0.6 percent, at 13,673.64. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Scott Anderson)
