Energy, resources lead Toronto stock rally
TORONTO Dec 28 (Reuters) - The main index of the Toronto Stock Exchange surged more than 100 points on Friday, as energy and resource shares piggybacked on stronger gold prices to lead a broad-based rally.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 142.62 points, or 1.04 percent, to unofficially close at 13,818.19 in the second-last session of 2007.
