Toronto stock index falls 100 points at open
TORONTO Jan 4 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index fell at the open on Friday, led lower by the materials and energy sectors as gold and oil prices eased from record highs.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 104.30 points, or 0.75 percent, at 13,873.07 just after the open. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
