Toronto stocks buoyed by record gold prices
TORONTO Jan 8 (Reuters) - Toronto stocks jumped more than 100 points at the open on Tuesday as record gold prices and firm energy prices underpinned the resource-heavy market.
Just after the open, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 127.39 points, or 0.9 percent, at 13,746.26. ($1=$1.00 Canadian) (Reporting by Scott Anderson; Editing by Bernadette Baum)
