Toronto stocks end lower in volatile session
TORONTO Jan 8 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index ended lower on Tuesday after it reversed direction in the afternoon as fears of more fallout from the subprime mortgage market undercut gains in gold-mining issues.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 92.57 points, or 0.68 percent, at 13,526.30. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
