Toronto stocks end rocky session higher

TORONTO, Jan 10 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index finished a volatile day higher on Thursday, recovering from earlier losses, amid expectations of further interest rate cuts.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 49.87 points, or 0.37 percent, at 13,629.81. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
