Record gold price boosts Toronto stocks at open

TORONTO, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index jumped more than 100 points at the open on Monday as record gold prices and firm energy issues underpinned the resource-heavy bourse.

Just after the open, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 101.81 points, or 0.75 percent at 13,734.38. ($1=$1.02 Canadian) (Reporting by Scott Anderson; Editing by Bernadette Baum)
