TORONTO, Jan 16 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index dropped to its lowest level since mid-August on Wednesday as ongoing worries over the health of the U.S. economy rattled investors.
By midmorning, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 202.52 points, or 1.5 percent, at 13,114.26. This follows a drop of 381.50 points in the previous session. ($1=$1.02 Canadian) (Reporting by Scott Anderson; Editing by Renato Andrade)
