Toronto stocks reverse, sink into red on materials

TORONTO Jan 17 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index reversed sharply from early gains on Thursday, slipping into negative territory as materials, led by Potash Corp of Saskatchewan (POT.TO: Quote), tumbled.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 3.20 points at 13,071.66, mirroring a reversal in U.S. stock markets. The TSX was up more than 100 points earlier in the session.
