Toronto stock index slumps 600 points on U.S. worries
TORONTO Jan 21 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index continued to free fall on Monday, dropping more than 600 points in its biggest intraday plunge in years, as worries over the U.S. economy roiled global markets.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 605.25 points, or 4.75 percent, at 12,131.87, its lowest level since November 2006.
