Toronto stock index down more than 200 points
TORONTO Jan 23 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index slipped deep into the red on Wednesday morning, rattled once again by the prospect of a slowing global economy and tumbling commodity prices.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 242.29 points, or 1.9 percent, at 12,398.59 immediately after trading began.
