Toronto stocks roar out of the gate, miners lead
TORONTO Jan 24 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index rose more than 200 points immediately after the market opened on Thursday as materials and energy shares soared on the back of hot commodity prices.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 214.63 points, or 1.7 percent, at 12,872.03.
