Toronto stocks lifted by Potash, commodities
TORONTO Jan 24 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index ended strongly higher on Thursday, pulled up by gains by Potash Corp of Saskatchewan (POT.TO: Quote), robust commodity prices and hopes of further interest rate cuts.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 262.93 points, or 2.08 percent, at 12,920.33. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
