Toronto stocks dive 300 points in broad slump
TORONTO Feb 5 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index tumbled further on Tuesday afternoon, shedding 300 points in a broad selloff prompted by resurgent worries over the prospect of a U.S. recession.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 300.12 points, or 2.3 percent, at 12,958.04 shortly before market close. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Rob Wilson)
