Toronto stocks jump 100 pts as commodities surge

TORONTO Feb 28 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index jumped 100 points on Thursday afternoon, spurred by climbing resource issues as oil and gold prices both touched record highs.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 100.56 points, or 0.73 percent, at 13,878.94. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Rob Wilson)
