Toronto stocks boosted by stong resource shares

TORONTO, Feb 28 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index ended higher on Thursday, spurred by resource issues as commodity prices surged, and gains from Canadian Natural Resources (CNQ.TO) after it said its profit more than doubled.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 95.60 points, or 0.69 percent, at 13,873.98. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Rob Wilson)
