Toronto stocks tumble 100 pts on economic worries

TORONTO, March 12 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index slid lower on Wednesday amid worries that a move to ease a credit crunch might fall short and as investors locked in profits after a hefty gain in the previous session.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 102.14 points, or 0.77 percent, at 13,242.39. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr, editing by Mario Di Simine)
