Toronto stock index opens down 111 points
TORONTO, March 13 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index dropped more than 100 points early on Thursday, swept lower amid global fears that a slowing U.S. economy will harm other world economies more than previously expected.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE skidded 111.14 points, or 0.8 percent, to 13,186.21 immediately after the market opened.
