Toronto stocks sharply lower amid credit woes
TORONTO, March 14 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index skidded on Friday in a broad selloff as the banking sector staggered after being hit by fresh problems due to tightness in the credit markets.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 173.85 points, or 1.29 percent, at 13,269.65. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
