Toronto stock index jumps 1 percent at open
TORONTO, March 18 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index jumped more than 100 points at the open on Tuesday on the back of firm financial and resource shares, rebounding from steep losses in the previous session.
Just after the open, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 124.87 points, or 1 percent, at 13,077.02. This follows a drop of 300 points on Monday.
