Toronto stocks slump 300 pts as resources fall

TORONTO, March 19 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index slid 300 points on Wednesday in a broad retreat led by weak resource issues, amid falling commodity prices.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 301.83 points, or 2.3 percent, at 12,834.88. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Rob Wilson)
