Toronto stocks plunge 400 pts as resources dive

TORONTO, March 19 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index dived 400 points just before the closing bell on Wednesday, as resource issues extended deep declines.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 401.03 points, or 3.05 percent, at 12,735.67. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Rob Wilson)
