Toronto stocks jump 200 points as gold surges
TORONTO, March 25 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index jumped more than 200 points on Tuesday, as commodity issues rode the coattails of a lofty rise in the price of gold.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 202.27 points, or 1.6 percent at 13,221.99. ($1=$1.02 Canadian) (Reporting by Scott Anderson; Editing by Bernadette Baum)
