Toronto stocks get lift from rising resouces

TORONTO, April 8 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index climbed into positive territory on Tuesday, as energy and other resource issues edged higher, after being beaten down by profit-taking earlier in the day.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 7.88 points at 13,752.89 by late morning. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Rob Wilson)
