Toronto stocks burst out of the gate

TORONTO, May 2 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index jumped early on Friday as commodities, corporate results, and U.S. jobs data combined to provide a broad-based lift.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 138.60 points, or 1 percent, at 14,204.41 with all sectors in positive territory. ($1=$1.02 Canadian) (Reporting by Jonathan Spicer; Editing by Scott Anderson)
