Toronto stocks jump 100 pts as resources climb

TORONTO May 8 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index jumped 100 points on Thursday morning, strengthened by gains in gold and oil producing companies.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 101.37 points, or 0.71 percent, at 14,472.90. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
