Toronto stocks charge ahead on resource strength

TORONTO, May 28 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index rallied on Wednesday, propelled higher by a rebound in resources as oil prices bounced back from an earlier retreat.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 167.76 points, or 1.16 percent, at 14,689.89. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Rob Wilson)
