Toronto stocks close lower as resources falter

TORONTO, June 4 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index closed lower on Wednesday, pulled down by a decline in resource companies that were stung by weaker commodity prices.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 25.68 points, or 0.17 percent, at 14,702.93. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
