Toronto stock index hits record on bullish oil
TORONTO, June 6 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index logged a record high early on Friday, driven by bullish energy and materials stocks as commodities remained hot.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 147.79 points, or 1 percent, at 15,130.70 -- surpassing its previous peak of 15,128.56, set last month.
