TORONTO, June 6 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index ended lower on Friday, erasing an earlier advance as worries over consumer spending and the economy overshadowed gains in resources after oil prices shot up by more than $10.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 26.25 points, or 0.18 percent, at 14,956.66. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr)
