Toronto stocks jump on strong resources, BCE
TORONTO, June 23 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index kicked off the week by surging higher on Monday, buoyed by firm oil prices and a jump in BCE Inc (BCE.TO: Quote) after Canada's top court backed the buyout of the telecom company.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 105.41 points, or 0.72 percent, at 14,686.08. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Rob Wilson)
