Toronto stocks turn negative in seesaw action

TORONTO, July 2 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index turned negative on Wednesday, erasing a gain of more than 100 points that was seen immediately after the opening bell, as it was weighed down by declines in the materials sector.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 2.87 points at 14,464.16, after climbing as high as 14,584.85 earlier in the session. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Scott Anderson)
