Toronto stocks extend losses in broad decline
TORONTO, July 2 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index retreated sharply and broadly on Wednesday amid weak resource shares and negative sentiment about the global economic outlook heading into the second half of the year.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 201.37 points, or 1.4 percent, at 14,265.66 early in the afternoon with all but one of its 10 main sectors in a downturn. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
