Toronto stock index swoons 400 points
TORONTO, July 2 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index fell more than 400 points on Wednesday amid a darkening economic sentiment, while coal companies saw their shares plunge in tandem with the price of the commodity.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 400.66 points, or 2.8 percent, at 14,066.37 with less than an hour left in the trading day. (Reporting by Wojtek Dabrowski; editing by Peter Galloway)
