Toronto stocks turn positive, energy shares climb

TORONTO, July 3 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index poked its head into positive territory on Thursday, recovering from earlier steep losses, as energy shares were boosted by oil prices, and bargain hunters snapped up down-trodden stocks.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 3.66 points at 14,037.77, after earlier falling as low as 13,796.48. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Scott Anderson)
