Toronto stocks dive 2 percent as resources drop

TORONTO, July 7 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index shed 2 percent on Monday in a broad and swift decline sparked by tumbling resource shares that were hit by falling oil prices.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 300.82 points, or 2.15 percent, at 13,709.57. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
