Toronto stocks battered by falling resources
TORONTO, July 7 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index fell broadly on Monday, yanked down by resource shares as oil and gold prices dropped while gloom over the outlook for economic growth persisted.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 232.77 points, or 1.66 percent, at 13,777.62. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
