Toronto stocks jump 100 points, energies lead

TORONTO, July 10 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index jumped 100 points at the open on Thursday, reversing the previous session’s tumble into an official correction, helped by strength in the heavyweight energy and materials sectors.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 114.92 points, or 0.8 percent, at 13,725.76. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Scott Anderson)
