Toronto stocks slump further in broad decline

TORONTO, July 15 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index skidded on Tuesday, giving up more than 2 percent as worries over the health of the global financial sector triggered a broad decline in the first hour of trade.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 309.76 points, or 2.25 percent, at 13,431.53 just over a half an hour after the opening bell. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Frank McGurty)
