Toronto stocks slip as resources follow oil down

TORONTO, July 17 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index finished slightly lower as a strong showing from financials was offset by resource shares that were hit by another sharp drop in oil prices.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 42.57 points, or 0.32 percent, at 13,461.23. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Rob Wilson)
