Toronto stock index 100 points higher on oil rise

TORONTO, July 18 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index jumped 100 points on Friday morning as investors scooped up oil and gas shares as oil prices firmed after a three-day tumble.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 101.12 points, or 0.75 percent, at 13,561.37. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
