Toronto stock index jumps 100 points on resources

TORONTO, July 28 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index opened up 100 points on Monday, boosted by energy and materials issues amid firm oil prices.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 103.11 points, or 0.77 percent, at 13,481.92. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Bernadette Baum)
