Toronto stock index jumps 100 points on financials

TORONTO, July 30 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index jumped 100 points on Wednesday morning, pulled up by the heavily-weighted financial-services sector, which overshadowed weakness in materials.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 100.62 points, or 0.75 percent, at 13,443.17. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
