Toronto stocks fall broadly, financials take hit

TORONTO, Aug 7 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index stumbled in a late day selloff on Thursday, pulled down in a broad decline that was led by weak financial shares.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 77.91 points, or 0.58 percent, at 13,375.60. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Peter Galloway)
