Toronto stock index turns positive on financials

TORONTO, Aug 8 (Reuters) - Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index bounced into positive territory on Friday afternoon, recovering from an earlier 100-point drop as lower oil prices encouraged consumer and industrial shares, and banks rose.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 1.05 points at 13,386.22. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
