Toronto stocks propelled by gaining resources

TORONTO, Aug 13 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index rose more than 1 percent on Wednesday, breaking a four-day losing streak, as the heavyweight resource sectors benefited from strong commodity prices.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 189.25 points, or 1.44 percent, at 13,356.25. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
